ABOUT US | Who We Are
Buhaguzi Action For Rural Development Foundation (BUARDEFO) is an indigenous, nongovernmental organization (NGO) in Uganda involved in the human and rural sustainable development in order to improve the quality of life of the people. BUARDEFO has it’s headquarter at Buhimba in Buhaguzi County, Uganda District and contact offices in Busia and Lira districts for Eastern and Nothern operations respectively.
BUARDEFO is registered with the Uganda National Board of NGOs with registration certificate No.S5914/9847 The Foundation is owned by its founder members and Subscribers to its Constitution. BUARDEFO is managed by a competent Board with enough experience in development work supported by qualified staff.
The program areas of the foundation are to promote formal education (through provision of primary and secondary education, education administration capacity building, and education infrastructure development), health service delivery (through safe water and sanitation, information and communication in life skills on HIV/AIDS), Environmental education/conservation and promotion of agricultural productivity.
